(S) Economic and Commercial Counselor informed Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MFA) Americas Director Mansoor Ahmad Khan on June 11 of the
U.S. Government's intention to submit to the UNSCR 1267 Committee a
list of alternate names ("AKAs") being used by Al Rashid Trust and
Al-Akhtar Trust to circumvent UNSCR 1267 sanctions. Khan promised to
forward the information to other Government of Pakistan (GOP)
agencies and will follow up with the Embassy if necessary.
