(C) On April 18, Poloff delivered reftel points and, on April
25, followed up on previous conversations with Farrukh Khan,
Director of the United Nations II Desk at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. Since Farrukh was covering portfolios for
other officers currently out of the country, he could not
comment on the dual-use provision of the UN Security Council
Resolution 1803 (Ref. A),but he did assure Poloff that the
travel bans and travel vigilance requirements contained
within UN Security Council Resolutions 1737, 1747, and 1803
were being followed (Ref. B). He noted that with these UNSC
resolutions, information is sent to Pakistan's missions
around the world, asking each mission to notify the host
governments of Pakistan's implementation.
