(C) On March 5, Deputy PolCouns met with Farhat Ayesha, the
Deputy Director for UN and International Organizations at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to discuss the possible UN
Security Council action concerning Somalia and piracy. (Refs
A and B) On March 27, POLOFF spoke again with Ayesha on the
matter and to deliver additional information for her review.
At the meeting, POLOFF was informed that due to the change in
government, a decision on the matter was yet to be made.
