Au to deliver reftel demarche on Jetpower, adding that Jetpower's offices are located in the same building as two other companies on the Department of Commerce's Unverified List: Free Components and Victory Wave. These two companies are currently under investigation by Hong Kong Customs and Excise authorities due to information provided by Post's Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industrial Security officer. Au thanked the USG for providing additional information on Jetpower and noted that Jetpower is already subject to heightened surveillence by Hong Kong Customs. He promised to discuss the additional information on specific metal products shipped by Jetpower with Hong Kong Customs and report any action taken to the U.S. Consulate in Hong Kong. ¶2. (S) ACTION REQUEST: Au requested that the U.S. provide any additional information that would assist Hong Kong Customs to interdict shipments of these materials transiting Hong Kong, if available.
