1. In a May 23 email, Mr. To Tu Hung, Deputy Director of Aviation
Security of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV)
expressed support for several USG positions outlined in working
papers to be presented at the nineteenth Aviation Security Panel of
Experts (AVSECP/19) in Montreal, May 26-30, 2008. The original text

The Civil Aviation Administration of Viet Nam (CAAV) expresses its
full support to the US's positions in its working papers
AVSECP/19-WP/6 SECP/19-WP/7 and AVSECP/19-WP/8 submitted to the
Nineteenth Meeting of the Aviation Security Panel (AVSECP/19) will
be held in Montreal from 26-30 May 2008.
We noted the support of US extended to the ICAO Secretariat's paper
on Transparency of ICAO Aviation Security Audit Results: Universal
Security Audit Programme (USAP) and are consulting with competence
authorities for Viet Nam's standpoint to this issue.
