Poloff thanked First Secretary for Multilateral Policy
Abigail Garcia for GOG's support of the 2008 United Nations
General Assembly (UNGA) resolution on "Compliance with
Non-Proliferation, Arms Limitation and Disarmament Agreements
and Commitments" in the First Committee of the 63rd UNGA.
Per reftel, Poloff urged GOG's continued support when the
resolution comes up for a vote and final action in the UNGA
plenary. Garcia, the Foreign Ministry desk officer in charge
of UNGA First Committee issues, stated that she has not yet
received voting instructions but that in principle Guatemala
supports the resolution.
