DRAFT DECLARATION

1.(U) Post met with MFA Director General Elisabeth Harper
about the GoG's impression of the draft Declaration of
Commitment for the fifth Summit of the Americas. Ambassador
Harper stated the GoG supported the draft Declaration in
principle; however, the MFA was reviewing the declaration to
ensure the proposed pillar's details coincided with Guyana's
priorities.
¶2. (U) When asked if there were any issues the GoG would
like to raise, Harper said it was important to review
progress made towards the goals set in previous Declarations.
