1. (SBU) DCM met with MFA Director General Ambassador Umaru
Wurie to deliver demarche and related papers as requested per
Reftels A-C for the NPT Prepcom meeting. Ambassador Wurie
appeciated receiving the information but commented that
Sierra Leone had not sent a delegation to the meeting.


2. (SBU) As requested Ref B, Ambassador Wurie was unable to
comment on who the alternate nominess might be for the
chairmanship of the 2009 NPT meeting since he had no
information available on the issue.
