1. (SBU) Embassy N'Djamena's EAC met on Tuesday, February 19 in
order to discuss the current security situation in Chad and
post's current Ordered Departure status. The meeting was chaired
by the Ambassador and was attended by DCM, DAO, POL/MIL,
POL/ECON, MED, MGMT, CONS, and RSO.
2. (SBU) The EAC recommended that Post's Ordered Departure
status be extended for another 30 day period, from March 2
through April 1. The EAC cited the current unstable security
situation, the lack of ready housing for returning personnel,
and the lack of medical care as the reasons for the extension.
