(C) PolOff delivered the demarche on expressing support for Kosovo's independence at the ministerial summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to Jamshed Khamidov, Counselor in the Department for International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Head of the Department, Muzafar Huseinov, has already departed for Senegal and will take part in the preparatory meetings for the summit. ¶2. (C) Khamidov said that he still could not give us an indication of Tajikistan's position on Kosovo, and he did not know whether Tajikistan would take any steps toward supporting Kosovo at the summit in Dakar. ¶3.
