2008 to Patrick Hennessy, Director General, Anglo-Irish
Division, Department of Foreign Affairs. Hennessy took on
board the request that the Government of Ireland contribute
$2 million, 2010-2014, to sustain the Afghan National Army.
He agreed to initiate a discussion of the donation within the
Irish Government. Post will monitor this discussion closely.
