(SBU) Poloff conveyed reftel demarche points to Constancio
Pinto, Director General for External Affairs at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. Poloff thanked Timor-Leste for its
co-sponsorship of the 2008 resolution on "Compliance with
non-proliferation, arms limitation and disarmament agreements
and commitments" in the First Committee, and welcomed
Timor-Leste's support when it comes up for a vote at UNGA. Mr.
Pinto reported that he will consult the matter with the Minister
of Foreign Affairs prior to conveying a final answer, and added
that as co-sponsor Timor-Leste will likely vote in favor of the
resolution. Post will report back any subsequent response.
