1. During a meeting with DCM on January 22, Sangban Diarra,
the Director of the Africa-Asia Division at the Guinean
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that Prime Minister
Lansana Kouyate will attend the African Union Summit in Addis
Ababa. The PM does not yet have firm travel dates, but he is
expected to lead the Guinean delegation. Guinea's foreign
minister, Kabele Abdoul Camara, will also attend and is
tentatively scheduled to arrive on January 29. An
unspecified number of technical specialists are tentatively
scheduled to arrive in Addis on January 25. Toure did not
have any information as to how long members of the delegation
plan to stay in Addis.
