We delivered reftel talking points to Gheorghe Leuca, the head of
the UN and Specialized Agencies Division at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and European Integration. Mr. Leuca said that the
Government of Moldova has sufficient information to support
Ambassador Swing's bid for IOM director. Mr. Leuca also said that
Moldova was aware of and supports the United States' position on
this issue.
