We delivered reftel talking points to Gheorghe
Leuca, the head of the UN and Specialized Agencies
Divisions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
European Integration. Mr. Leuca said that Moldova
was aware of the Financing for Development Review
Conference in Doha from November 29 to December 2,
¶2008. He stated that Moldova was implementing
good governance and sound economic policies as had
been encouraged in the 2002 Monterrey Consensus on
Financing for Development in order to access aid.
He did not know whether Moldova would send a
representative to Doha.
