Organisations Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
was informed of the proposed increase in Afghanistan's
National Army. Mr. Merrill commented that the information
was not unexpected and they appreciated notice of the
proposal before the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board
meeting July 6 in Kabul.
