Regarding reftel request for information on end-user M.M.
Fathallah, post has learned that the end user's company,
Fathallah Weapons and Ammunition located at 24 Saad Zaghloul
Street in Alexandria, Egypt, has been in business since 1948.
The company works as an agent, distributor, wholesaler and
end-user for several types of weapons. The company's main
customers are recreational club shooters and business people
who use weapons for self-defense, such as jewelers and
security companies. His company also has a branch in Cairo
and sells to customers throughout Egypt. Mr. Fathallah is
familiar with U.S. export control regulations and expressed
an interest to learn about any new laws. The Embassy officer
who visited Mr. Fathallah at his place of business believes
he runs a legitimate business.
