Aboul Gheit on December 14. He was already read into the
status of the resolution and current text. He said that
Egypt supported the resolution in its current form as long as
the text remains "closed." He did note, however, that if the
text were to be opened for Israeli amendments, then he
anticipated Egypt would work with others to recommend their
own amendments.
