1. In response to reftel, Embassy Buenos Aires nominates
Heidi Gomez for training on forced labor and child labor in
Washington April 9-11. She is an economic-coned officer
currently serving in post's Political section. Her current
areas of responsibility cover labor, human rights,
trafficking in persons and religion freedom issues.
2. Post understands that the Office of Child Labor, Forced
Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT) within the DOL's Bureau
of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) considers Argentina
high priority and therefore accepts DOL's offer to cover
travel, lodging, and per diem. The government unrestricted
airfare departing on April 7 and returning on April 12 is
$1460. The restricted, non-refundable airfare for the same
dates is $1374.
