SUBJECT: ARGENTINE GOVERNOR TO VISIT FORMER VICE PRESIDENT GORE IN
TENNESSEE
(SBU) During Ambassador Wayne's recent trip to San Luis province
(septel),San Luis Governor Alberto Rodriguez Saa advised the
Ambassador that he was planning to visit former Vice President Al
Gore in Tennessee to discuss his Foundation's potential support to
the province's environmental programs. The Governor said he was
still confirming the details of the trip, which is tentatively
scheduled for December 3 or 4. The president of San Luis's public
"University of La Punta," Alicia Banuelos, whom the Ambassador met
on November 24 at the university, advised the EMBASSY that she would
be accompanying the Governor. She said there could be additional
delegation members. Post is in contact with the University to obtain
more information on the areas of cooperation desired.
