1. ESTCouns met on September 24 with Sebastian Sayus,
Couselor for the MFA's Directorate of International Security,
Nuclear and Outer Stace Issues (DIGAN) to deliver talking
points in reftel and bio of US candidate for President of the
Third Review Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Joint
Convention. Sayus took note the qualifications of the US
candidate but pointed out that the GOA was advancing its own
candidate for this position.
2. The Argentine candidate, he noted, is Ing. Abel Julio
Gonzalez, a regulator with over 20 years of experience
working at the IAEA. Sayus made it clear that the GOA would
be supporting its own candidate.
