(SBU) Post provides the following current information per reftel format: ¶A. The Head of State, President Solyom, undecided. ¶B. The Head of Government, Prime Minister Gyurcsany, does not plan to attend. ¶C. The Foreign Minister, Kinga Goncz, plans to attend the General Debate. - Planned arrival date: September 21 - Scheduled departure date from the U.S.: September 29 - Spouse travel not confirmed - No interpretation required - The FM plans to travel to Washington and also visit the Hungarian Consulate in Chicago while in the U.S.; dates to be confirmed. ¶D. The following Foreign Ministry officials plan to travel with the Foreign Minister: (1) - State Secretary Laszlo Varkonyi - Same travel schedule as the FM - Spouse travel not confirmed - No interpretation required (2) - Istvan Kovacs, Chief, Foreign Ministry Cabinet - Same travel schedule as the FM - Spouse travel not confirmed - No interpretation required ¶E.
