1. (SBU) MFA Kosovo Affairs Officer Zoltan Nagy discussed
ref A demarche with PolOff on July 2. He noted that Hungary
gives considerable importance to the conference, highlighting
the GOH's decision last month to commit 1.2 million Euros in
support of Kosovo. Nagy said that Ambassador Marianne
Berecz, MFA's Russia and Balkans Department Head, and Denes
Tomaj, the MFA's Development Coordinator, will most likely
represent the GOH at the conference.
2. (SBU) Hungary has already recognized Kosovo's
independence as outlined in ref b.
