Foreign and Security Policy Department Head Zsolt Pataki on
May 30. Pataki noted that Hungary agrees with the U.S. text
version concerning Latin American and Missile Defense. He
commented that the MFA has directed their representative in
Brussels to support those versions during the U.S.-EU Summit
Declaration negotiations. Specifically commenting on the
Latin AMERICA text, Pataki stated his belief that Hungary is
one of only three EU members - the other two being the Czech
Republic and Slovakia - supporting the U.S. version.
