1. POLOFF delivered reftel information to the MFA
International Organizations and Human Rights Department Head,
Attila Zimanyi on May 23. He confirmed that Hungary
currently supports the present Director General (DG),Brunson
McKinley, for a third term. Zimanyi commented that Hungary
has been generally satisfied with McKinley's work with
Hungary on migrations issues. He also acknowledged reftel
points related to McKinley's 2002 letter stating he would not
seek a third term, as well as the 1998 Resolution 997, signed
by Hungary, calling for a two-term limit for the DG.
