Responding to reftel demarche delivered December 11, MFA
Department of International Organizations UN Desk Officers
Bernadett Kollar and Andrea Balog told PolOff December 17
that fundamentally, Hungary supports efforts to reduce UN
operating costs. Although not "experts" on the specific
proposal, they said that they would be in contact with the
Hungarian representatives at the UN to further discuss the
issue. Kollar and Balog said they would provide information
on any substantive Hungarian position at a future date.
