MFA Director General for International development
Cooperation Denes Tomaj told PolOff December 16 that Hungary
would consider sending a representative to the proposed
conference (ref A). However, Tomaj reconfirmed Hungary's
earlier decision (ref B) that the GOH would be unable to
provide a donation, citing Hungary's current budgetary
restrictions related to the recent IMF, World Bank, and EU
sustainability package as a key reason.
