Note Verbale registering the GOR's concurrence to reftel
diplomatic note regarding U.S. AIR FORCE support for the
period of the NATO Summit in Bucharest.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania presents its
compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America to
Bucharest and, with reference to the latter's verbal note no.
074 of March 26, 2008 regarding the temporary deployment of
the US Forces for the provision of security against airborne
threats during the Bucharest NATO Summit 2008, has the honor
to confirm that the Romanian side shares the understandings
expressed in the said verbal note, the treaties in FORCE
between the two States as well as the agreed Technical
Arrangement setting the legal grounds for the fulfillment of
the aerial security operations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania avails itself of
this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States
the assurances of its highest consideration.
