ECOUNS passed points in reftel to MFA Non-Proliferation Office on May 23. On May 30, the desk officer in the office relayed a response thanking the U.S. for the invitation to the meeting on the global initiative information portal. However, as the MFA has no specific input to make on the management of the portal as yet (having just recently gained access to it),and considering limited travel resources, the GOB will not participate in the meeting. ¶2. Belgium will participate in the second annual conference in Madrid in two weeks at the senior administrative level, and is preparing a short policy statement to contribute to the debate and in support of the GINCT. An interagency system is being put into place in order to make Belgian experts available for GINCT meetings and exchanges as much as possible. .
