Cristophe De Bassompierre. De Bassompierre noted that many
special UN operations were extremely costly. He said the EU
was also concerned with retention problems, noting that many
field operations staff wanted better pay and the UN wished to
pay them more. He said he would forward the U.S. position to
his colleagues in New York for consideration.
