Embassy Brazzaville is an unclassified post. ¶2. DCM met with Lessard Safouesse Makayat, Deputy Secretary General, Chief of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA),Republic of the Congo (RoC) to present talking points regarding the three imminent resolutions that promulgate anti-Israel bias. Mr. Makayat is the MFA direct contact with United Nations-based Congolese. DCM also encouraged Mr. Makaya to enlist the support of the MFA and the Congolese United Nations staff in the reduction of one-sided UN General Assembly resolutions on the Middle East. ¶3. Mr. Makayat served at the UN for the past six years and recently returned to RoC. He was a leader of the Congolese delegation while the RoC served on the Security Council. Mr. Makaya assured DCM that he would transmit the information to his staff posted at UN on Friday, November 21. EASTHAM
