1. (U) Post conveyed reftel points to Eva Kolesarova,
Director of Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Her office confirmed Slovakia will be sending official(s) to
the 31st session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission in
Geneva but is still undecided regarding the nominee they will
support to be Chairperson. Her office passed the letter from
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Edward Schafer to Slovak
Secretary of Agriculture Zdenka Kramplova. Her office also
passed the biographic material regarding the USG nominee, Dr.
Karen Hulebak, to the official(s) attending the 31st Codex
session and the Slovak representation to the FAO in Rome.
