1.(U) Pol/Econ Chief shared reftel demarche with Drahomir
Stos, MFA Desk Officer for Burma. Stos confirmed that the
Slovak government will not attend the May 25 UN-ASEAN
co-sponsored conference in Rangoon. Stos said the GOS would
not make an additional pledge at this time. The GOS is not
planning to make a statement related to this conference.
