1. (U) POLOFF delivered reftel non-paper on April 4 to
Bernardo Mota, Chief Staff at the Ministry of Finance's
Financial Activities Oversight Council (COAF, the GOB's
financial intelligence unit). Mota stated that COAF would do
its best to ensure Brazil was complying with UNSC resolutions
and that it would notify the appropriate entities within the
government for enforcement. Any substantive response will be
reported septel.
