On December 31, Post received a diplomatic note and original letter from Colombian Minister of Finance and Public Credit Oscar Ivan Zuluaga extending an invitation to Treasury Secretary Paulson to attend the 50th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the 24th Annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Investment Corporation in Medellin on March 27-31, 2009. The invitation letter states that the GOC has reserved a suite for the head of the U.S. delegation at the Hotel Intercontinental Medellin. ¶2. Post has transmitted copies of the diplomatic note and the invitation letter by unclassified email to the Treasury IDB Desk, the Office of the U.S. Executive Director to the IDB, the State Department Colombia Desk and WHA/EPSC. Post stands by to assist with arrangements for U.S. delegation attendance to the March 27-31, 2009 meetings.
