1. On November 13, we delivered all points in reftel to Vice
Minister for Multilateral Affairs Adriana Mejia-Hernandez.
Mejia reiterated that the GOC understands the USG position.
She confirmed the Canadians had also pressed the GOC to
support the Iran resolution. Mejia said the GOC is currently
reviewing its abstention policy, and promised to discuss the
issue with the Foreign Minister. Post will continue to
follow up on the issue and will report any response via
septel.
