The Kyrgyz MFA replied to Embassy's request (based on reftel) for support of Dr. Karen Hulebak's candidacy for the Codex Alimentarius Commission by Diplomatic Note 011-11/2231 dated June 2, 2008. According to the note, the Kyrgyz side will give "due consideration" to our request and inform us once a decision is made. ¶2. Following is Embassy's unofficial translation of the diplomatic note: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Diplomatic Note #174 of May 12, 2008 concerning the nomination of Dr. Karen Hulebak for the chairperson position at the Codex Alimentarius Commission, during the election from June 30 ) July 4, 2008 in Geneva. In view of the friendly relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States of America, the Kyrgyz side will consider the request in the above-mentioned note with due attention. The Ministry also has the honor to confirm that the Embassy of the United States of America will be informed in a timely manner about the decision made by the Kyrgyz side on this issue.
