STATE 26650 B. BERLIN 313 C. THE HAGUE 313 D. THE HAGUE 588 Classified By: Global Affairs Unit Chief Don L. Brown for reasons 1.4 (b) and (d). (S) During a recent meeting, German MFA Export Control Division Desk Officer, Wiebke Wacker, specifically thanked the USG for the nonpapers passed to the GOG in 2006 and 2008 regarding the shipment of tritium gas to Iran's Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). Wacker volunteered that the information in the 2006 nonpaper was "very useful" and further stated "before we received the (2006) nonpaper, we knew nothing." Wacker named Ahmad Rajabi as the German/Iranian from the German firm Campro Scientific in connection with this case. Wacker said that she was not at liberty to comment on whether the information in the 2006 nonpaper contributed in any way to the December 2007 tritium gas seizure in Amsterdam's Schipol Airport.
