1. Per reftel instructions, on July 1 we provided Mladen Mijovic,
Deputy Director for Weapons Control in the Foreign Ministry, with
the summaries from the May Proliferation Security Initiative
meetings. Mijovic said that Director General for NATO and Defense
Affairs Zoran Vujic, who attended the meetings, had been satisfied
with his participation and would find the summaries useful. We are
also sharing the summaries with defense, intelligence, and law
enforcement agencies.
2. Mijovic noted that Serbia has made good progress in export
control, seeing fewer problems with export license applications as
exporting companies exercised more discipline.
