(SBU) Post EAC met February 19, at 1700 local time at the Ambassador's residence to assess the security situation in Belgrade. RSO reported that there were no incidents in front of the Embassy during the last 24 hours. Police presence has been active around the city in breaking up groups of potential troublemakers. Post mobile patrol reports no new demonstrations or incidents on February ¶19. ¶2. (U) Based on an assessment of the overall security situation the EAC decided to open the Embassy on February 20. Post EAC will meet again on February 20. ¶3. (SBU) RSO continues to advise that staff limit their use of vehicles with diplomatic plates and use public transportation when possible. ¶4. (SBU) RSO reported that he was fully satisfied with police cooperation, communication and support. FCS and RSO reported that U.S. firms have not reported new security concerns. MUNTER
