upcoming ad hoc discussions on the Comprehensive Convention
on International Terrorism (CCIT). MFA Department of Treaty
and Law Officer Guo Xiaomei said that she was not prepared to
offer a substantive response immediately, but that U.S. views
will receive serious consideration. She promised to consult
with superiors and convey China's position as soon as
possible.
