(S) PolOff conveyed reftel talking points urging China to prevent Chinese firms from supplying flow-forming and ring-rolling machines to Pakistan's missile program to MFA Arms Control and Disarmament Department Missile Division Deputy Director Wang Daxue on August 29. Wang promised to relay the information to his superiors. He noted that in cases such as this, where the United States indicates it has information that a Chinese firm is violating Chinese export control restrictions, it would be useful if the Embassy could share relevant documentary or other evidence that the MFA could then share with Chinese customs and law enforcement officials.
