(S) PolOff provided MFA Arms Control and Disarmament Department Missile Division Deputy Director Wang Daxue on May 15 additional information on four Chinese firms that have worked to supply missile-related equipment to Pakistan (ref A). Wang said he would share the U.S. information with relevant Chinese authorities, but did not have information on the PRC investigation of this matter. PolOff reminded Wang that the United States has on several occasions shared with China information on Pakistan's attempts to procure missile-related items in China and that we look forward to hearing the results of China's investigation soon.
