(SBU) Further to reftel action request, please find below
feedback from the Thai MFA on plans for Thai senior officials
to attend the 63rd United Nations General Assembly in New
York:
¶A. The Head of State, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and his wife,
Queen Sirikit, will not attend UNGA.
¶B. Head of Government, Prime Minister Mr. Samak Sundaravej
will attend UNGA.
- Arrival Date in New York: 22 September 2008, 1430
hours on flight AA105 (Hotel: Ritz Carlton Hotel)
- Departure Date from New York: 27 September 2008, 2135
hours on flight LH405
- Prime Minister Samak's wife will not travel to New
York
- Interpretation for bilateral or multilateral meetings
will not be required
¶C. Foreign Minister Mr. Tej Bunnag will attend UNGA.
