1. (C) After prior relay of a copy of the United States
report on steps taken to implement United Nations Security
Council Resolution 1803 as outlined in reftel paragraph 6,
Poloff spoke with Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Iran Desk
Officer, First Secretary Pimpiree Pyramarn on May 12 to
discuss Thailand's UNHCR 1803 report. Pyramarn advised that
Thailand had already submitted its report but declined to
provide a copy or any details regarding the report, claiming
the content was sensitive. Poloff requested but has not yet
received additional information on Thailand's report from
Thai MFA Division of Peace, Security, and Disarmament Attache
Pakawat Srisukwattana, who had oversight for the report
submission as of May 16. We will report separately any
additional insights obtained from Srisukwattana on Thailand's
report.
