1. As requested reftel, the Ambassador briefed State
Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Issues Chair
Hijran Huseynova on the March 12 Senior Roundtable for
Women's Justice in a March 27 letter. In the letter, the
Ambassador highlighted the seminar's goals and informed
Huseynova of Avon Products' $1 million donation to the
UNIFEM-managed UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women.
She also enclosed a hard copy of the Implementation Plan. We
will report any substantive response septel.
2. Per reftel instructions, the Embassy will share
information about accessing grant money from the UN Trust
Fund with relevant contacts once it is posted to UNIFEM's
website on April 30.
