1. This is an action request.


2. Pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act, post
requests the Department's assistance in screening the following
candidates of the Iraqi Security Force who has been nominated for
training in the United States. Post has no derogatory information.


3. The names of the proposed candidate follows:

NAME: Ahmed Faris ABDULRAZZAQ
POSITION: Lieutenant, Iraqi Army
DOB: August 15, 1982
TYPE OF TRAINING: ELT Signal Officer Basic
TRAINING LOCATION: San Antonio, TX and Fort Gordon, GA
DATES OF TRAINING: November 29 - August 28, 2009

Please note - the course he was suppose to attend began November 29;
however he will not be traveling until the response for the Leahy
vetting is received at Post.
