1. (S) On May 14, Economic Section delivered reftel
points to Ioannis Sidiropoulos, Secretary General of the
Ministry of Economy and Finance, and to Panagiotis
Thomopoulos, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece (BG).
Both replied that they will pass along the information to
appropriate offices within their institutions and assured us
that appropriate actions would be taken. Post will continue
to engage with the GoG on these issues and will report any
significant developments.
