¶1. (SBU) On March 26, Economic Section delivered reftel
points to Georgios Zorbas, President of the Special Financial
Service and Ioannis Sidiropoulos, Secretary General of the
Ministry of Economy and Finance. Political Section delivered
reftel points to Ambassador Rallis, Director of the MFA D1
Directorate for the UN and International Organiations and
Conferences. A member of Rallis, staff told PolOff he
planned to circulate the points to relevant MFA colleagues.
¶2. (SBU) On March 27, reftel was delivered to Panagiotis
Kyriakopoulos, Director of Monetary Policy of Banks of the
Bank of Greece (BoG).
¶3. (SBU) On March 31, reftel was delivered to Panagiotis
Thomopoulos, Deputy Governor of the BoG despite an ongoing
strike that has closed the BoG. Post will continue to engage
BoG and GoG on these issues and will report any significant
developments.
