(C) On October 22, Poloffs delivered reftel demarche to MFA
D1 Directorate Counsellor and Expert on Disarmament Issues
Pantelis Margaris. Margaris expressed appreciation for the
summary of Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR)-related
contacts between the U.S. and non-MTCR countries since the
November 2007 Athens MTCR Plenary. Margaris' only concern
was with the name "Macedonia" that was included in the
non-paper, reaffirming Greek's stance on using "the Former
Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" title. He had no further
substantive reply.
